Ointment for udder skin care during inflammation (mastitis).

The emulsified herbal extracts act favorably on the inflamed udder by increasing skin elasticity and moisture immediately after application, reducing pain and redness, and providing a protective effect. The udder skin softens, alleviating the effects of its tension (preventing cracking, reducing pain, etc.). It has been proven that the essential oils exhibit strong antibacterial activity against microorganisms that commonly cause mastitis in cows, primarily different strains of Staphylococcus aureus. The average minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the active principles of essential oils in this preparation for S. aureus strains isolated in Serbia is: cinnamaldehyde 158.87µg/mL, eugenol 237.09µg/mL, carvacrol 267.27µg/mL, and thymol 303.58µg/mL.

The ointment is applied by gentle rubbing on the udder skin after milking. First, wash the udder with lukewarm water and soap, then wipe it with a wet tissue, and finally massage the ointment into the skin. Pain and sensitivity of the udder are reduced immediately after application. Treatment duration depends on the severity of inflammation, lasting up to 5 days. Before the next milking, wash the udder and remove the ointment. USAGE: When applying this ointment, use protective gloves. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
